My good friend Dal (BAMComix/BlondActionMan) kicked off this awesome photo series idea, a sorta action figure band sing-a-long, to The Clash's "Should I Stay or Should I Go." So of course Ghosts on the Radio had to get involved, and with perfect timing came in for the chorus.

I feel like I've always struggled a bit with lighting. It's never bad in my photos (at least I don't think so) but I think it's usually more functional than especially dramatic most of the time, and something I probably struggle the most with.
This might actually be my favorite photo I've taken (definitely one of my favorites). The whole set came out awesome and and I think it's the most interesting lighting I've managed. Magazines in the shoot are from Bad Mother Tattoos and Customs, who also does a bunch of tattoos and decals for figures. Check out his ebay store at www.ebay.com/str/badmothercustoms Check out the full scene!/photo set here So, this is a bit wild, but this Wednesday, May 4th, KMUD Redwood Community Radio has asked me on to their “Voices” show to talk about the world of the Radio Kings and read a couple written excerpts. You can listen live through their website at https://kmud.org at 8pm PST/11pm EST. And check it out, St Crow is already on their front page!!!
Sometimes you find some random 1/6 accessories that are so cool, you want to do a photoshoot just to have a chance to play with them and show them off. And in this case, I was also inspired to do some fun custom work to go along with them. These amazing VHS tapes and VCR are from this great Etsy store: https://www.etsy.com/shop/donkavitch As soon as I saw, I knew I need some, and I knew I needed to do a custom tape cover. The 3D print look actually captures perfectly the VHS tape texture. I have ideas for a few more covers, so you'll be seeing them pop up. They have a bunch of other cool retro accessories in 1/6 and 1/12, and totally worth checking out their store. At this point, I’ve bought a few things from JSTinyCreations, but this microwave was the 1st I've had the chance to photograph, and I’m absolutely in love with it. Great details and actually lights up when opened! Top quality on everything I've gotten, and they too have just a ton of great and unusual 1/6 and 1/12 accessories, especially for dioramas.
Check out their store at https://www.etsy.com/shop/JSTinyCreations and Instagram at https://www.instagram.com/jstinycreations/ Which obviously means I had to make some microwave popcorn. So all these elements just had to come together in a House of Seasons movie night. Check out the full scene/photo set here. The wait is over, and FINALLY finished this photo shoot. A ton of work went into this one. Not just the new loading dock, but custom skateboards, BBQ grill, hot dogs and hamburgers. Tried a lot of new things here too, and really happy with the results. Check it all out here!
New House of Seasons story!!!! I tried a lot new tricks on this one. Text cards to move the story along. Action! Gore! Check it all out here.
I don’t post a lot of WIP stuff, but was excited with how this is coming out. For anyone who pays attention to the House of Seasons storyline, I think this is a good hint to what’s been keeping me so busy lately.

She's popped up in a few previous photo shoots, but happy to finally fully introduce Krysa in the world of House of Seasons. Full gallery and backstory here!
The Holidays are upon us, even in the world of The House of Seasons! Holiday themed photos series is up. I wanted to get this posted before Christmas, but between a ton of new props and days of shooting, it took a little longer to pull together. Best holiday wishes to everyone who tunes in and checks out my work. See you all in 2021 with a ton of all new projects!
Lazy Sunday continues with all new photos. I picked up some 1/6 Playstation controllers a little while back, and have been wanting to do a shoot with them ever since. I also have a cheap android tablet I wanted to experiment with as a 1/6 tv, and I think the result is really awesome.
I've also long wrestled with 1/6 scale beer bottles. Since all are cast with caps on, you just had to kinda ignore that in photos. Well, I finally got sick of it, so I made some with removable caps and hollowed out the mouth of the bottles. Really happy with how they look. Fun fact 1: Phicen/TBLeague trigger hands are PERFECT for holding controllers. Fun fact 2: The Android tablet was free, and all I had to do was sit through a cult recruitment pitch. I did not join, and they seemed genuinely annoyed when I still insisted I get my free tablet. |
