The Holidays are upon us, even in the world of The House of Seasons!  Holiday themed photos series is up.  I wanted to get this posted before Christmas, but between a ton of new props and days of shooting, it took a little longer to pull together.  Best holiday wishes to everyone who tunes in and checks out my work.  See you all in 2021 with a ton of all new projects!

Absolutely incredible! I mean... hey, wait! Now I'm distracted by that ouija board on the floor in the background image! Did you make that? I neeeed one!

I need one so I can talk to Lorelei! I cannot express how delighted I was to see the Ghost Girl show up... as in, materialize... at the holiday party! And get all buzzed and flirty! And then evaporate in embarrassment! She is SO ADORABLE!

Which somehow came across even when she was creepy and mean and scary. The girls saw that in her, and they went back and rescued her, at great peril to themselves. These really are sweet, good, kind characters, and it was great fun to see them having such a good time together!

One of the few things I have not yet seen anyone mention in comments on the forum is how you pose each character differently and specifically. It is most evident with Thornapple. She has a very specific "style" to her poses. Delia is nearly as distinct in her mannerisms. Eazy B is more upright and formal. I suspect that were we to see silhouette images of each of your four main characters, shorn of their hair (and horns), we could easily identify them by their stances. That is a subtle touch you employ that is very effective in creating believable, identifiable, separate characters, actual "little people," using action figures. It is quite brilliant.

David!!!! Thanks so much for the kind comments and for coming over to visit the site. And so glad you like the ouija board! I actually made a few of them, in a few different colors, with planchettes and all:

And so happy you enjoyed seeing Lorelei too! Yeah, I feel like she had a hard year (getting killed and all). In life, she was extremely bookish, so this was her 1st real party, and she definitely cut loose a bit. Being dead may have made her a bit more impulsive too. I liked the idea of her being there too, becoming a part of this group. I have lots more of her story to tell.

It and makes me so happy when I hear that their individual characters come across in these photos, and especially when I manage to convey those kinds of traits. I think a lot about who they are as characters and am always trying to get across as much as I can, but in photos and the bits of background story. I'm thrilled you noticed the differences in their posing too!!! It's very intentional, and I'm always trying to capture these traits in every photo. There's always a bit of a shyness in Thornapple, a relaxed boldness with Delia. Isblomma is awkward, but kinda fascinated by all these little experiences. Alice can a bit stiff and sometimes arrogant, but not in a mean way, and is really not used to these kinds of friendships either, and I'm always trying to convey these qualities however I can, and always sorta thinking about them as I pose them. It's a crazy way to try to tell a story, but every time I hear that those feelings and ideas connect, it's so immensely satisfying. So seriously, thank you.
